ABOUT ME
I am a contemporary painter from Aotearoa New Zealand, based in Matakana. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) in Painting at the Ilam School of Fine Arts, University of Canterbury.
My work comes from repeated observation of commonplace buildings and landscapes, places encountered regularly without pause. I am drawn to the beauty in the everyday ordinary and to the quiet ways light, weather and time shape the way we view these environments.

The paintings are made through return and repetition, allowing places to reveal themselves gradually. Shaped by human presence yet often unoccupied, they leave space for viewers to bring their own associations and memories. What emerges is a sense of nostalgia, leaving viewers sitting between the past and present.
